REPORTING · 12th April 2011

At last count the My Mountain Co-op representatives believe they are at just over $150,000; a long ways away from the goal of $2 million. So they have now launched a new program borrowed from the Hockeyville success where individuals and businesses post their pledge.

I’m Buyin’ is the brand name My Mountain Co-op has selected. The entire community has benefited from the Ski Hill at Shames mountain.

“You wonder how many shocks have been sold at auto parts stores from driving up that road to the hill.” stated one promoter as he suggested there is a reason for all businesses to help and to benefit in the long run.

There is just over two weeks left and the team has only achieved 10% of their goal. Now is the time to stake a claim. Even if you do not ski the Shames Mountain ski hill likely benefits you in some way, attracting professionals to live here, and even industry to set up with this as an attraction.

The physical location is in Terrace across Highway 16 from the ambulance and RCMP station at Eby Street and Highway 16. Look for the rising thermometer.

The web presence, where you can buy right now without leaving your computer can be found online http://friendsofshames.ca/
