Citizens from all over the Northwest are converging on Prince Rupert on Thursday for a rally to stop the Enbridge Northern Gateway Pipeline and keep oil tanker traffic off B.C.'s North Coast. You're not going to want to miss it!
When: Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 7:00pm
Where: Prince Rupert, BC (Meet at Mariner's Park)
Who: Families, fishermen, business people, youth, First Nations, seniors, community leaders, and concerned citizens from every walk of life!
Other stuff to consider:
Have a boat? Coinciding with the rally, there will be a boat flotilla congregating in Prince Rupert Harbour in front of Chances Casino.
Bus to the rally
A bus will be travelling from Smithers to Prince Rupert on Thursday, picking up people in communities along the way. For more information about the bus, visit the Facebook page or call Tyler at (250) 847-2970. There is no charge to take the bus.
Carpooling from Terrace and Kitimat
There is a carpool being organized for folks travelling to the rally from Terrace and Kitimat. If you live in Terrace contact Julia at julia,,,skeenawild.org or call 250-638-0998. If you live in Kitimat contact Margaret at margareto,,,telus.net or call 250-632-3337.
