Voting to win top spot begins now!

Terrace is the only Northwest BC community left in the race to be declared Canada’s “Ultimate Fishing Town”. Just like Hockeyville, the residents of the Northwest can all get in on bringing more notoriety to the spectacular country, scenery and unrivalled fishing opportunities. To those who live here, this is all too obvious.

If you have a blackberry or smart phone you could program an alarm in each of these time slots to remind you to vote online.

If you choose to conserve your time and not waste too much on this effort; program your alarm at 5 minutes before 9am and 5 minutes before 9pm. This will allow, if you vote as soon as the alarm goes off, to vote in one time slot, wait a few minutes and then vote in the next time slot.

Last year Port Alberni won this award and here is what they stated after winning this declaration;

The title brought us worldwide exposure no town could ever afford to buy. Several big and little city papers featured us across Canada for months on end and many fishing magazines and news stations across Canada talked about Port Alberni as the Ultimate Fishing Town.

We have received numerous queries and bookings from people around the world that were also following this contest.

The Ultimate Fishing Town contest united Port Alberni like no other and gave the community a sense of pride and accomplishment in ourselves at a time when the community needed it with the downturn in the economy.
