Terrace RCMP Detachment had a normally busy May long weekend with no major incidents. Members were out en masse, with enhanced patrols in the campgrounds, in particular Redsands and Furlong Bay.
There were a total of 137 calls, up 9 calls from last year’s May long. The number of prisoners was up as well, 56 this year compared to 42 from last year.
Thirty six calls were liquor related.
Seven calls were noise bylaw related.
Four calls were related to impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
A number of incidents stemmed from Redsands.
