The inquest into the death of Rodney Shayne Jackson has been rescheduled. Jackson was shot during an incident with RCMP near Hazelton. Despite medical treatment, he died on Sept. 26, 2009, at Wrinch Memorial Hospital.

The inquest is rescheduled for Sept. 12-16, 2011.

Presiding coroner Shane DeMeyer and a jury will publicly hear evidence from subpoenaed witnesses to determine the facts surrounding the death. The jury will have the opportunity to make recommendations aimed at preventing deaths under similar circumstances in the future.
