REPORTING · 20th June 2011
The weather held off just enough to make the Fathers Day Show and Shine at Canadian Tire another success. We captured some images to share and you can see them below.
The bike award went to a weird contraption that had the back wheel pivot on a peddle bike along with the steering up front. Apparently the production of this cycle didn't last too long due to the difficulty it posed.
The dealers choice award went to a new entry brought all the way from Fort St John, a 1983 DeLorean, the "Back to the Future" car. Marcel Kristoff, a former regular selling smokies out in front of Canadian Tire, bought an A&W in Ft St John and brought this new treasure of his down just for the show. You can see our picture of this stunning stainless steel car at the top of the winners pics below.
The next picture below the DeLorean, the yellow 1956 GMC owned by Larry Craig, was selected for the "Best Appearance" award. Below that is the Best Tuner, which has won many awards at this show and others, then April (Randy) Penners Ford Custom, "Best 50's Car" followed by the peoples choice award, which went to the red 1955 T-Bird. Posted below the T-Bird is the "Best Truck" award, which went to Earl Hovlands 1952 Chevrolet. Below his truck is the unique 1970's "Swing Bike".

Great shots, great cars ! Great day but a grey day, at least it didn't get wet.
Appreciate all the people shining their vehicles up and putting on such a great display.
Also appreciate the good photography and seeing who some of the winners were.
It all seems fitting having a car show on Father's Day, a lot of proud fathers, doing what they love.
