Sometime during the night of July 3/4, thieves were active in the area of the 4900 block of Lambly, and 3800 block of Rowland. Two vehicles that were left unlocked were entered and items were stolen and destroyed. The thieves also entered the garage of a residence, took a vehicle remote, used the remote to unlock the vehicle, and then took a wallet that was stored in the vehicle.
Police are also seeking public assistance in locating a vehicle of interest. The vehicle in question is described as a red single cab Chevrolet "low rider" pickup bearing Alberta license plates.
The vehicle was involved in an incident along Highway 37 between Terrace and Kitimat on July 5th, 2011 in the late afternoon.
Police remind people, once again, to lock your vehicles when left unattended.
