REPORTING · 30th July 2011
Merv Ritchie
The weather seems to have broken just slightly allowing for a bit of a dryer day to Riverboat Days than the opening ceremonies.

The Happy Gang Center was very busy meeting the needs of the hungry getting ready for the packed day of activities ahead.

The floats are lining up and one in particular caught our eye immediately. The Northern Motor Inn has obviously spent a lot of time and energy in preparing their locomotive. Complete with the smoke stack, the steam engine train whistle blast, the rolling of the wheels on the track and a conductor. This is an impressive amount of work.

The Parade begins 12 noon sharp leaving the Terrace City Hall at Eby Street and Lakelse Avenue and continues straight east on Lakelse to the Legion where the Royal Canadian Legion members will be waiting with a barbeque.

Check out our event calender in the Riverboat Days section for all the planned events.
