NEWS RELEASE · 9th August 2011
The Skeena Valley Model Railroad Association was taking passengers this past Riverboat Days as the rail car that many pass while walking along the Millenium Trail was opened up to the public for a peek into the world of model trains.
Model trains were zipping around the tracks mimicking the actual full sized trains that passed by outside, just a few feet away. There where dozens of different types of model trains with multiple association members conducting them. There were also many miniature buildings, trees, mountains, tunnels, and cars to create a very real looking environment for the model trains to maneuver through.
The Skeena Valley Model Railroad Association has done an outstanding job creating a very lifelike display. This is the kind of event that both adults and children can enjoy.
