CONTRIBUTION · 19th August 2011
Cst Kendra Felkar of the Terrace detachment will be riding in the 10th Canadian Cancer Society Cops 4 Cancer Tour de North in September. This year a new route has been developed due to multiple requests for the engagement of additional communities. The Tour commences in Fort St John on Friday Sept 9 and will travel through Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, Mackenzie, Prince George, Quesnel and finish off in Williams Lake on Thursday Sept 15. The objective is to alternate Tour routes year to year, enabling more communities in the north to share in the Tour experience.
All funds raised go to support pediatric cancer research, for support programs for children and their families who are on a cancer journey, and to Camp Goodtimes which is available every year for children diagnosed with cancer and their families to attend at no cost.
Cst Felkar is planning a FUNDRAISER BBQ on Friday August 26 from 11:30 – 2:30 at the bandshell at George Little Park.
MR. MIKE’S will be cooking up Mike burgers for a minimum donation of $5. Headshave challenges are most welcome. Reva, of Grand Ole Barbershop will also be donating a portion of proceeds from haircuts on that day. Tour de North Tshirts and Hats will be on sale for $15 each.
