SURREY, B.C. — More than 100 protesters, including many from the Occupy Vancouver protest, gathered Thursday morning outside a Surrey hotel calling for the arrest of former U.S. president George W. Bush who was inside speaking to a business group.
Bush and another former U.S. president, Bill Clinton, are speaking at the fourth annual Surrey Economic Summit.
The demonstration was organized by Amnesty International, which has urged the Canadian government to arrest Bush for human-rights abuses committed during the former American leader’s War on Terror.
