So ... a kid is lighting fires, right? And we sit in judgement of the kid and his folks, right?
How DARE we?
What do we know about this kid? Do we know he is in his right mind? Do we know he is able, as in he has no disabilities? Do we know he has no FAE/FASD? Do we know his family has all the supports in place to deal with his behaviours?
WE DO NOT KNOW THIS.
God help us all.
End of story. Go ahead. Throw a stone at the nearest glass house before you have the whole story.
13 YEAR OLD

You say where are the parents of the 13 year old who has done this well what if the parents have done all the can for a child and the child thinks he can do what he wants. How everything is now a days you cant hit a child so all you have is your words and if a child doesnt choose to listen well its all a parent can do really like the last comment I would of been slapped put over a knee but not now a days kids are allowed to do anything they want. This is probably why there are more "street kids" teen pregnancy bullying and sucides to name a few..Lets not be so quick to judge a parent....

I do not know about you, but when I was 13 I would not even have dreamed about trying something like that. I may have lived long enough to regret it, maybe. The tanning I would have received would have been monumental. In cases like this the parents are the ones who should receive the punishment as they clearly are not doing a parenting job. If you cannot teach your child to live as a civilized person, do not breed.

With the constant cuts to the legal system, it's not likely to ever make it to court. It's kind of similar to the city... We have by-laws but only a part time by-law officer. So people park where they want, ignore basic bylaws etc... because there's no enforcement anyway.
