Lakelse Lk drive Hill...
Comment by R1chard Jenn1ss on 16th December 2011

That hill is very dangerous.

What is surprising is the amount of people who don't slow down when there are pedestrians, those who tailgate and those who ride the center in a game of chicken.

Come to think of it, is Thornhill walk friendly at all?
Old Lakelse Lake Dr Hill snow removal or lack there of...
Comment by Rhonda H on 16th December 2011
I am completely disgusted with the lack of snow clearing /gritting of that hill. It was only a matter of time before a truck got stuck. I travel daily from the Thornhill bench through Terrace and up to the Terrace bench and I am forever wondering if I should brave that hill or not. I have brand new studded winter tires and still get nervous. I have teenagers that will sometimes try to walk up that hill. Without sidewalks it is dangerous at the best of times now with all this snow it is suicidal. The hills up to the Terrace bench are always cleared within a reasonable time, could that be because the City of Terrace cares if people die or get injured on their roads? I do believe that Nechako - Northcoast is responsible for the hill in Thornhill...some one is going to get seriously hurt if they don't start clearing that hill properly.
Snow Removal
Comment by James T on 15th December 2011
I do not see how or why some people think it's logical to complain about snow removal in the middle of the night; yes, it's a bit noisey, but if they don't do it, then people would complain it hasn't been done. People are complaining for the sake of complaining.
No snow days?
Comment by Annabelle on 15th December 2011
I would just like to question why the schools weren't closed down on Tuesday? That Semi (and cars) were in the ditch all over, the roads were bad , why weren't the schools closed down for a snow day?
