UPDATE - The body discovered near Gitaus Village on Sunday afternoon has been confirmed as 21 year old Devin Charles AZAK-DAVIS.
He was reported missing to police last Wednesday afternoon and had not been seen since New Years Eve.
For the past three days RCMP and Ground Search & Rescue teams have been scouring the area looking for him.
An autopsy will be performed at a later date to determine the cause of death.
Terrace RCMP are conducting a thorough examination of a scene near Gitaus Village after a body was discovered Sunday afternoon.
Police say the victim was discovered buried in the snow by a couple snow shoeing in the area when they were alerted by their dog. RCMP say they have not yet confirmed the identity of the victim.

Meanwhile, an autopsy is planned today in Vancouver on the body of a male found Thursday in a residence in Gitaus Village. Police expect to confirm the male’s identity along with the cause of death. All that police can say at this time is the death is suspicious.
“These two events have been hard on the families and community” says RCMP Inspector Dana Hart. “The co-operation from volunteers and individuals is greatly appreciated.” . At this time police cannot say if the two incidents are related.

My heart and prayers go out to the families affected by these dealths. So sad they are young men not even in their 30's yet.
