The Enbridge hearings begin on Tuesday (January 10) at 9:00 am at the Haisla Recreation Centre in Kitamaat Village and continue on Wednesday (January 11) beginning at 9:00 am.
The hearing in Terrace is being held at the Sportsplex beginning at 1:00 pm on Thursday, January 12.
The following week hearings will be held in Smithers on Monday, January 16, at the Hudson Bay Lodge beginning at 9:00 am, then Tuesday in Burns Lake at the Island Gospel Fellowship Church beginning at 1:00 pm. Wednesday, January 18th, a hearing will be held in Prince George at the Ramada Hotel Downtown, beginning at 6:00 pm.
Please consider attending the hearings and wearing a blue scarf with embroidered fish to show your opposition to the project. Members of local groups will be handing out scarves at each venue.
These hearings are for intervenors who have requested to present oral evidence. A second round of community hearings will start in April for people who have signed up to make statements. A schedule for those hearings hasn’t been released yet.
