After several months of intense work, Terrace Little Theatre is ready to present its only play of the 2011-2012 season."Crimes of the Heart" plays open on Thursday January 19 and from all accounts this show is a keeper.
The play, set in Hazlehurst, Mississippi centers around the extremely dysfunctional Magrath sisters who converge on the family home after Rebecca "Babe" Botrelle shoots her husband Zachary, causing a state-wide scandal. All of them have romantic troubles for one kind or another and their interfering cousin Chick is no help at all. Enter an upstart young lawyer and an ex-boyfriend and you have a recipe for disaster.
The cast is blessed with veteran actors - Janine Hamming and Nancy Stone-Archer play sisters Meg and Lenny whilst Robin Hollett is their cousin. Bayani Generoso was first seen on stage last year in "Bella Donna" and returns as a lawyer. New to the stage are Erica Wilson as Babe and Jonathan Stone as Doc Porter.
The show starts at 8.00 pm sharp with no late seating. Tickets are $15 at Uniglobe COurtesy Travel or at the door. Best to get your tickets ahead of time. Doors open at 7.30. There will be a 20 minute intermission after Act I.
