Music students from Terrace and Kitimat wrote Royal Conservatory of Music theory exams in December, 2011, and took their practical exams in January, 2012. These results are the culmination of many hours of study and practice, and each candidate is deserving of praise. First class honors with distinction- 90% and up.
First class honors - 80-89%
Honors- 70-79%
Pass- 60-69%

Dec.theory exams
Basic Rudiments: Mikala Snyder- honors, Sophia Zanardo- first class honors

Intermediate Rudiments: Eunbee Kang- first class honors, Madelaine Link- first class honors with distinction.

Advanced Rudiments: Karishma Sharma, Johanna Vandenberg- both first class honors with distinction

Basic Harmony: Alecia Friesen- pass, Anna Linton- honors, Sandra Yoo- first class honors

January 2012 Practical examaination

Grade One Piano: Quinn Mulder- first class honors, Bryton Gaudet- honors, Pariss Tinsley-first class honors

Grade Two Piano: Garrett Andrei-honors, Emma Perrin-honors, James Boutilier- honors

Grade Three Piano: Michaela Julseth-honors, MacKenzie Walker-pass

Grade Four Piano:Annie Leung-first class honors, Alannah Murtonen- mark not available

Grade Five Piano: Nicole Lofroth- honors, Haley Boutilier-pass, Jami Yendrys-pass

Grade Six Piano: Landon Andrei- first class honors, Karishma Sharma- honors, Jordan Bartel Tinsley- pass

Grade Eight Piano: Mikayla Holmes-pass, Tristan Walker- pass

Grade Nine Piano: Anna Linton- honors, Theo Metzmeier- honors

ARCT Elementary Pedagogy: Eleanor Bond-first class honors

Grade Three Voice:Katherine Ocsovai- first class honors

Grade Eight Violin: Bonnie Juniper- honors

The next Royal Conservatory of Music exam session is May, 2012 for theory subjects, and June, 2012 for practical subjects. The exam application deadline is March 3rd, and more information can be found at www.rcmexaminations.org
