NEWS RELEASE · 27th March 2012
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
The words of Margaret Mead have inspired many. Aboriginal education is an important topic for our community including students, parents, families, community members.
We all have stories to share and we are pleased to invite you to share yours, this Saturday, March 31st, 2012. This community dialogue is an opportunity to share your stories, hear from others, and to begin the discussion.
It is the hope of the organizers that the participants will help in deciding the direction the community dialogues will take. This opportunity will provide all those who have an interest in Aboriginal education to come together in a different way, to actively participate and help focus "All Hands on Learning" for our children. This event has been organized and sponsored by: Kitsumkalum Education Department, 'Na Aksa Gila Kyew, Coast Mountains School District, Kitselas Education Department, UNBC, and Skeena Diversity Society.
