UPDATE Northern Health confirms one fatality.
Prince George Fire crews continue to maintain a perimeter River Rd after an explosion and fire levelled the Lakeland saw Mill in Prince George.
Lakeland President Greg Stewart says we are devastated by the news, and our thoughts are with our employees and their families.
Fire Chief John Lane says the fire is too dangerous to maintain and therefore crews are letting the fire burn out. The fire has destroyed the Saw Mill section of the operation. No cause for the blaze is known.
The blast took place at 9.38pm. Monday and could be felt around the bowl area of the city.Read the rest here

ˇ NH called a Code Orange at 10:00 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC) in Prince George, BC.
ˇ 25 patients have been treated
- 3 patients will be transferred by air ambulance from UHNBC to Vancouver.
- 15 patients remain at UHNBC.
