“ Lug Nuts Loosened is a Bad Prank “

There have been two incidents in three days of lug nuts being loosened on vehicles.

On April 28 a green 1992 Chevrolet Blazer was en route to the carnival when the wheel of her vehicle came off. The driver took the vehicle to a mechanic who informed her that all of the lug nuts on her wheels had been loosened.

On April 30 a vehicle that was parked at Boston Pizza left there at approximately 10:15 PM. After a short time period the driver and passengers heard rattling and stopped to investigate. They discovered that the lug nuts on the wheels of their vehicle had been loosened. The driver and passengers further stated that there was a red muscle car that was following them and may be associated to this incident.

“ No one was injured in either of these incidents, but if either of these vehicles had been traveling at a higher rate of speed the outcome could have been very bad. Who ever is doing this, STOP, before someone is seriously injured or killed, “ says Cst. Angela Rabut, media relations officer of the Terrace RCMP.
