THIS WEEKEND MAY 12 - 13!

The Terrace Annual 3-D competition has in a short time become one of the premier events on the B.C. 3 –D calendar.

It is an interesting and challenging 35 target course shot over 3 rounds in 2 days followed by our very popular novelty shoot including the infamous
“canoe shoot” on Saturday.

The competition is shot at the Rosswood Community grounds 42 km north of Terrace . Drive east on Highway 16 through Terrace, turn right on the Kalum Lake (Nisga’a) road .

WATCH FOR SIGNS

Keep a camera ready and your eyes open as lots of bears are usually sighted on your way in!

A log building offers a base of operations and a place to warm up in if the weather turns foul.

The terrain is varied and interesting and includes inclines, rivers, gullies and rocky hills and the area is surrounded by typical B.C. Coastal Mountain range features.

More than ample camping sites for the largest RV’s and tents are available but there are presently no hook-ups.

Adequate toilet facilities are on site. A kitchen is on site to serve a hot breakfast in the morning and light meals and refreshments throughout the day.

If you never have seen a 100 pound pig barbecued on a spit for 10 hours this is the place to be!

A sumptuous variety of foods including corn on the cob, potatoes , steak, hamburgers and a wide selection of breads and salads is also available.

All of this is available for $16 per steak/pork dinner and $6 for a hamburger dinner. Come and support your local Archers and have a yummy dinner!

"Archery shoots are my passion. There are only a few that I never miss or substitute for another. One of these is the annual Mothers’ Day 3D sponsored by Whiskey Jack Archers in Terrace.

Reasons to attend the shoot include; the friendly atmosphere, the diverse terrain and varied difficulty of shots, the incredible pig roast on Saturday night, the unique prizes for first, second and third, as well as the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to bow hunt in South Africa.

I combine this great shoot with an annual spot and stalk black bear bow hunt. I have never gone home without a good bear with my bow. The Annual Terrace Whiskey Jack Archery Club shoot is a highlight of my outdoor season."

Sincerely, Al Campsall
