Terrace RCMP
The LISIMS/Nass Valley RCMP are seeking the public's help in providing information on three separate break and enters in the Nisga'a Village of Gitlaxt'aamiks (New Aiyansh) over a two week period.

On May 15th, 2012 LISIMS/Nass Valley RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a vacant residence belonging to School District 92. Considerable damage was done to this inside the residence, including a fire being lit inside. Police are following up with suspects and other strong leads in this investigation.

On May 19th, 2012 the LISIMS/Nass Valley RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a residence on Adams Crescent. The door to the residence was damaged.

On May 26th, 2012 a residence was broken into on Aiyansh Road, with several vehicle windshields vandalized.

The LISIMS/Nass Valley RCMP and Village Government officials are encouraging parents to speak to their children about the consequences of vandalizing property and breaking into homes & buildings.

“This is a small community and these events affect us all.” stated Sgt. Donovan Tait, Detachment Commander. “With the community's help we can put a quick end to this and hold the offenders responsible in consultation with local government.”
