NEWS RELEASE · 13th June 2012
Terrace RCMP
Members of the Terrace RCMP and staff are taking to the soccer fields on Thursday to support the local Special Olympics.

Law enforcement personnel in nearly 30 communities across B.C. hit the streets recently in support of Special Olympics BC (SOBC) as they take part in the BC Law Enforcement Torch Run.

In Terrace, that participation will come in the form of a fun soccer game with Special Olympics athletes on June 14 at 4:00 p.m. on the field at Skeena Junior Secondary School.

“ I saw their picture in the paper last week and would like to say congratulations for coming in second at the regional qualifier tournament in Mission. We are going to have a lot of fun playing against the Spirit Bears and hope Terrace Citizens come out and enjoy the game. Let’s hope the weather cooperates!, “ says Inspector Hart, Officer in Charge Terrace Detachment.
